IN CELEBRATION OF FAIR HOUSING MONTH

Join us for a showing of A Raisin in the Sun, followed by a panel discussion about fair housing and how race still plays a role in shaping our neighborhoods.

41 years ago the federal Fair Housing Act was passed in hopes of desegregating our neighborhoods. Nonetheless, it is estimated that 3.7 million incidents of housing discrimination still occur each year nationwide.  Residential segregation thwarts efforts to integrate schools, expand job opportunities, and increase access to services.

RSVP to the Fair Housing Rights Center in SEPA at 215-576-7711 x.11 or email us at twashington@fairhousingrights.org.
